Just wanted to send a quick thank you to everyone who helped us move to our new place!

Josh and I went to go talk to the nice radiology lady this morning. She took the first picture of our child’s confirmed gender. It’s probably not appropriate to repeat Josh’s commentary from the radiologists office here on our supposedly “family friendly” website, so I will not include it on this post. Let’s just say that the picture featured below speaks for itself. And Uncle Phil and I were correct in our prediction, so congrats to Uncle Phil (and me too).

Here is a profile picture. Our baby boy is very healthy and right on track. One more picture was taken of the face and that is in the photo gallery (See Below).

Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaarr! Happy Talk Like A Pirate Day!
Here is our big news!
I have been offered a position with the Washington State Department of Transportation as an Application Developer. The job will be a lot of fun and a good challenge. It will be nice to write code that 30,000+ plus people will be using. I will be working on a small team, which is part of 4 larger teams, so I will get to work with others again, which will be nice. The compensation package is also a very nice upgrade for Olivia and I, and the benefits package will really help once the baby is born. The job starts October 1st at 8 AM (8! Icky).
I told my boss at High Performance Systems yesterday that I was moving on and it was one of the hardest calls I have had to make. They have been very good to me, and it is hard to move on. Olivia and I believe however that this new job will be better for our family, and I look forward to it. I will surely miss my co-workers and the trips to Hawaii, but we will make it back. It’s a great place to go, and we will head back often enough I’m sure. It’s scary and exciting to be finishing up one chapter of our life and starting another.
With the new job, we need a new place. We will be moving down to a cute little house in Lacey. The house has a fenced back yard, so Miku will be very happy with the new place. The rent is slightly less then we pay now for our apartment, and the square footage is slightly more. It also has a garage so we can keep the car inside to get it out of the weather. I’m already looking forward to putting up Christmas lights and falling off ladders.
Keep us in your thoughts, and wish us well on this new chapter in our life!
