I Got Nothing

Hey Hey!

Just wanted to write to say that i have nothing to write about. ;) The last few weeks have been crazy with funerals, way to high insurance bills, and work. Basically life has happened to Liv and I. Next Friday, the 31st of August, is the next baby doctor appointment. I don’t think we find out if we are having a boy or a girl yet. However, we do schedule the appointment for the ultrasound that will tell us what our little monkey will be.

For the record, Liv feels that she is going to have a little boy. Me, I don’t’ like to just come out and say it. So here is what I am going to do, I’m going to write down my prediction on a little piece of paper, and once we know what we are having, I’ll tell you if I was right or not. :P In all seriousness I feel like we are going to have a little girl, but I am not carrying the little thing in my tummy, so it is just a feeling. Granted, the Hudsons never seem to have little girls, but hey.. things can change right? I think the real reason I feel this is because then we have both ends of the spectrum covered: Liv thinks boy, I think girl. If we have something other then that, we both should be worried. :)

I added a baby tracker to the website. It will always be the first post, so look below it for new content.

We are off to Leif and Jasmin’s little girl’s 2 year birthday party today. Happy Birthday Brittny!! She is growing up way to fast. I told her mom that she would be a baby to me till she was 48, and I was called weird.. hmpf!

New Ultrasound Pictures (13 Weeks)

Wave

We went in today for another check-up, and the doctor couldn’t hear the baby’s heart with her sonar thingy, so she went ahead and brought in the ultrasound machine. We got to see the little fluttery heartbeat through the baby’s ribcage (160 bpm), and also there was a good shot of the baby extending an arm (see pic). At one point it was moving almost as if it were doing ‘squats,’ kind of an up-down motion with its legs. The doctor pointed out the backbone and told us “looks like your baby has a nice strong backbone and bones,” to which I replied “it’s going to need them if it’s going to be running around with the Hudson boys.” Josh was his usual self–just as awed by the picture of the baby as he was by the “incredible software” (runs on Linux) that he was asking the doctor about.

Here is another picture that was taken while the doctor was getting the baby’s measurements.
