New Address!

Liv wanted to move our website to a new domain address that better fits us. I had always wanted to use The Forgotten Void as the name of a freelance programming company, and it has been a great site, and a great name, but it is time to move on to something better.

Now, there is a story behind this new name for those that don’t know it already. One night early in our relationship she had asked me to do something. I looked up at her and said. “Honey, this is not a two way monkey bar..”..

She just giggled at me, used to my random and silly comments by then, and I still had to do what she asked!

Last night when she told me she thought it would be a good idea to move the site, I looked at her and said “Honey, this is not a two way monkey bar..”, and here I am a quarter of the way through the huge process of moving everything over from the old site. I really need to come up with a new saying. :)

It is not an easy process to move domain names. I have to move every single post, comment, picture ect. over one by one. There are easier ways to move things, but I figured since i’m moving I might as well change where I store all my files, which means I have to do alot of editing of the old posts. It keeps me out of the bars though…

Her Take: Livvy just reminded me that, as she recalls the story is a bit different. She was tickling me, and I was giggling like a little school girl, when all of a sudden I grabbed her arms and said “HEY! THIS IS NOT A TWO WAY MONKEY BAR!”.. she then started giggling like a little school girl.. I like my story better, and since this is not a two way monkey bar… I win… :)

The color of the frames is froggy green. You can even see little sparkles if you look real closely.

But not too closely, though. Livvy still remembers her best friend Jackie explaining about ‘circle relationships,’ and getting too close to Livvy might result in you landing smack in the middle of her ‘plaid wierdo square.’

Consider yourself duly warned.

(Pratchett fans–did you notice the extra exclamation points in the heading?)
